And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
