We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
