NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
