We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
