And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
