And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
