And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
