And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet was blown; “This is the Day of the promised punishment.” 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
