And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
