We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word will not be changed in My presence, nor am I an oppressor at all unto My bondmen. 29
