We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence. I had warned you. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
