He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
