We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
