And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
