3/4 Hizb 52
< random >
And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
