It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
