Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and the smooth runners 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
