Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
