Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
