Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
