Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
