Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
