Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
