Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
