Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
