Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and the smooth runners 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
