Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
