Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
