Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
