Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
