Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
