Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
