Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
