Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
