Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
