Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
