Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
