Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
