Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
