Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
