Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
