Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and the smooth runners 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
