Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
