Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
