Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
