Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
