Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
