Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
