Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
