Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And [you have the same message] in [what happened to the tribe of] Ad, when We let loose against them that life-destroying wind 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. 46
